Through a very neat site called
Kiva, DSTech Solutions partners Sam and Denise have been helping those in need get small loans. The most recent recipient was Venus Macarayo, a 57 year old woman from the village of Bacolod, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental. She has a small business planting and harvesting rice. The loan was to help with the purchase of fertilizers and pesticides and the additional revenue was to improve the general living conditions of her family. Ms. Macarayo has used her profits to repay the loan in full, as have all the other recipients.
